Fiery show set for February 10
*

Fireworks will light up the skies over Victoria Harbour on February 10, the second day of the Lunar New Year. The $4.8 million display starts at 8pm.

Some 22,888 shells will be discharged from four barges in the 23-minute extravaganza consisting of nine "scenes".

The display can be seen from many vantage points on both sides of the harbour, including Mid-levels, Central, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and the Hung Hom Bypass. However, part of Cultural Centre Piazza in Tsim Sha Tsui will be closed due to construction work.

RTHK Radio Four (FM 97.6 - 98.9) will be playing music synchronised to the show.

People are urged to keep public areas clean and to show respect for public property. They should also show consideration to others and make the event a safe one.
