HPC logo (Eng version)

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an imported case of Dengue fever, bringing the year's total to 28.

The patient is a 26-year-old Kwai Tsing man who developed fever, headache, muscle pain and a rash on October 26. He was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital on November 1 and is in stable condition. He travelled to the Philippines from October 21 to 25.

The centre urged people to guard against the disease and prevent mosquito breeding.

The latest information on Dengue fever in other places can be found under "Outbreak News" on the Travellers' Health Service website.
