December adventure camp invites applications
*
Leisure & Cultural Services Department

The three-day "Camp for Adventure and Sports 2004", to be held at Lady MacLehose Holiday Village at the end of December, is now inviting applications. The deadline is November 8.

Offering a series of outdoor camping and sport activities, the camp will not only provide a good setting for participants to widen their interest in sport, but also encourage them to form a habit of doing exercise regularly.

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department said the theme of this year's camping activities would be getting close to nature while enjoying the fun of outdoor activities. The camp is aimed at people aged from six to 59.

In the camp, participants can try activities like sports climbing, adventure games, general gymnastics, archery, shuttlecock, table-tennis, soft volleyball, a dancing night and tele-match games.

Participants can also appreciate the benefit of team spirit by taking part in these activities.

Application details

Applications should be submitted by an applicant aged 18 or above, on behalf of a team of three to eight members. The fee per head, which cover meals and accommodation, is $243 for those aged 14 to 59, and $193 for those aged six to 13 and full-time students.

Forms are available at the department's 18 District Leisure Services Offices. Completed application forms should reach Lady MacLehose Holiday Village, Pak Tam, Sai Kung, New Territories either by mail or by fax to 2792 0254, on or before November 8.

Camp places will be allocated by drawing lots if applications exceed the camp site capacity. Enquiries can be made on 2792 3084.
