Small talk: Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa chats with Mong Kok residents to learn about their daily concerns. |

Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa visited Mong Kok today to inspect drainage improvement works and chat with residents about their everyday concerns.
He said the Government will get on with economic transformation work so people from all walks of life share in the benefits of Hong Kong's economic recovery.
Since Team Clean started improving environmental hygiene last year, the Drainage Services Department and Yau Tsim Mong District Office launched projects to provide decking to open nullahs to avoid litter piling up.
Funding for the project has been approved and works will start next year for completion in two years.
Accompanied by Yau Tsim Mong District Officer Choi Chi-wa and Drainage Services Senior Engineer Kenneth Lau, Mr Tung inspected works at the junction of Mong Kok and Canton Roads.
He visited restaurants, fruit stalls and shops along the two roads and Reclamation Street to ask how business is going. He also met with pedestrians, listening to their views on various issues, such as hawker licensing, illegal structures and illegal workers.
