Cholera case confirmed

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed a cholera case involving a 51-year-old man, bringing this year's total cases to three.

The man travelled in Asia during the incubation period and developed diarrhoea on June 2. He was admitted to Adventist Hospital on June 6 and is now in stable condition.

The centre is still investigating the cause of infection and the case has yet to be classified.

The centre reminded people to guard against cholera and food-borne infection and maintain good personal and environmental hygiene.
