Grants

*
$46m allocated for film development
*

The Film Development Fund approved three applications in November, bringing to 65 the total number of projects approved, with a total allocation of about $46 million.

Among the projects approved by the Fund's Vetting Committee is the $2.4 million 23rd HK Film Awards Presentation Ceremony to be organised by the Film Awards Association for April.

A series of seminars on the impact of the Mainland and CEPA on the local film industry will take place in conjunction with the awards ceremony. Mainland filmmakers will also participate.

The two other grants, totalling $90,000, will be used to sponsor the participation of two movies in the Venice Film Festival and the Asia-Pacific Film Festival.
