The Department of Health today confirmed the outbreak of viral gastroenteritis at Wisely Nursery & Kindergarten, in Central & Western, affecting 13 students and one staff member.
They all have symptoms of vomiting, abdominal pain, fever and diarrhoea. Results of stool samples are pending.
Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Canossian School (Girl School), King's College Old Boys Association Primary School and Greenfield Kindergarten have been removed from the outbreak list.
The department is closely monitoring the disease, caused by Norwalk-like virus, as Hong Kong enters the high season for the illness's spread.
Its hotline, 2961 8966, had received 312 requests for information on the disease and preventive measures.
Good hygiene measures key to prevention

Any children, students and workers suffering from viral gastroenteritis should stay home until they recover.
Institutions are reminded to watch out for symptoms of viral gastroenteritis and report any suspected outbreaks.
