The closure order on a fish stall in Park n' Shop's Chi Fu Fa Yuen outlet was lifted today.

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department allowed the stall to re-open after measures by the supermarket chain to prevent re-infection proved satisfactory.

Department officers closed the stall on September 1 after it found vibrio cholerae in its water on August 26.

During the closure, the supermarket conducted thorough cleansing and disinfection of the stall and its fish tanks, and inspected and serviced its filtering and disinfection system.

The chain also reviewed its handling and delivery of seafood, and took measures to prevent contamination of its fish tank water.

No vibrio cholerae was found in follow-up tests taken by department officers.
