National hero Yang Liwei and 25 Mainland scientists will arrive in Hong Kong Friday for a six-day visit.
The astronaut successfully flew China's first manned space flight earlier this month, and will tell his story to his Hong Kong supporters.
The entourage will meet different sectors of the community, school children, attend a welcome dinner at Government House and a celebration party at HK Stadium.
An exhibition on the space mission will also run from November 1 to 4 at the Science Museum. Exhibits include the re-entry capsule and the astronaut's space suit.
About 80,000 to 90,000 people will be admitted to the exhibition. Free tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis from 6am on October 29 at 18 ticketing offices. For details, click here.
Some 40,000 free tickets will be available for the HK Stadium event on November 1. Some 23,000 will be distributed from October 30 at the public enquiry counters of the Home Affairs Department. Other tickets will be given out by the organisers themselves.
Specialists of the delegation, including Mr Yang, will give talks on the development of China's aerospace programme between 10am and noon at City Hall on November 3. The talk will be broadcast on RTHK.
The delegation will leave for Macau on November 5.
