The Lotteries Fund allocated more than $181 million to finance various social welfare service programmes between April and June.
The Social Welfare Department said today that of the amount:
* $47,312,269 went to rehabilitation services;
* $46,961,801 went to elderly and medical social services;
* $43,969,807 went to social welfare support services;
* $25,310,796 went to family and child welfare services;
* $17,238,486 went to young people services; and,
* $494,241 went to services for offenders.
The fund was established for financing, by way of a grant, loan or an advance, the operation or development of social welfare services and medical or educational projects with welfare content.
