The sewerage-works scheme at Tsing Lun Road and Tsz Tin Road in Tuen Mun Area 54 has been gazetted today.

It will provide a sewerage system for the new housing development nearby and will connect with the proposed sewerage system in Tuen Mun north and west.

It will convey sewage for proper treatment and disposal to improve the living environment of the area and help reduce pollution of the coastal waters.

The works involve building 500m of rising mains, and 450m of gravity sewers, manholes and other works. It will be conducted in conjunction with another proposed road works project there.

The Civil Engineering & Development Department will start works in 2010 for completion by 2013.
