Water at 23 beaches rated 'good'

Environmental Protection Department

The Environmental Protection Department has rated water quality at 23 beaches 'good' and 10 'fair' for this weekend.

 

Compared to last week, Cafeteria Old and Clear Water Bay First Beaches have upgraded from fair to good.

 

Seven gazetted beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido - are closed to swimmers year round due to poor water quality.

 

Bathers should avoid swimming at beaches for up to three days after a storm or heavy rainfall. For beach water quality updates click here or call 2511 6666.
