Lunar eclipse set for August 28

Total eclipse of the moon on August 28

Astro-event: A total eclipse of the moon will occur August 28,  from 3.52pm to 9.23pm.

A total eclipse of the moon will occur August 28 and will be best viewed at places with unobstructed views to the east-southeast, such as Sai Kung and Shek O if weather permits.

 

The eclipse will take place from 3.52pm to 9.23pm. Only the latter part of the eclipse can be observed in Hong Kong as the moon will rise at 6.42pm.

 

The next lunar eclipse observable in Hong Kong will be on August 17 next year. It will be a partial eclipse. For more details click here.
