Water at 22 beaches rated 'good'

*
Environmental Protection Department

Water quality at 22 beaches has been rated 'good' for this weekend in the Environmental Protection Department's latest gradings. Ten are 'fair'.

Compared with last week, Clear Water Bay First and Discovery Bay Beaches have changed from fair to good while Kadoorie Beach has gone from fair to poor. The changes are generally within the normal range of fluctuation of the bacteriological water quality of the beaches.

Seven gazetted beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido - are closed to swimmers year round because of poor water quality.

For more information visit the department's website, or call 2511 6666.
