Tai Lam park security stepped up

*

The Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department has enhanced patrols and tightened ingress controls at the barrier gates at Tai Lam Country Park to prevent tree thefts.

Secretary for the Environment, Transport & Works Dr Sarah Liao today told legislators the moves have been implemented in the wake of the felling of 188 trees in the park July.

She said Police are hunting the culprits and are stepping up publicity urging people with information to come forward, and are contacting local villagers for clues.
