The Exchange Fund's foreign assets amounted to $1.907 trillion at the end of December, up $54.5 billion on November, the Monetary Authority says.
The Monetary Base, comprising Certificates of Indebtedness, Government issued currency notes and coins in circulation, the aggregate balance and Exchange Fund bills and notes issued, amounted to $1.011 trillion.
Claims on the private sector amounted to $80.7 billion. Foreign liabilities, representing mainly obligations under repurchase agreements, amounted to $400 million.
