Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan will attend the Dubai International Financial Centre Forum November 23 to 27. He will promote Hong Kong's strengths as an international financial centre and the city's efforts to develop Islamic finance.

Prof Chan will speak at the forum, a major event of Dubai International Financial Centre Week 2008. It is an annual programme of conferences featuring international financial and economic leaders sharing perspectives on wide-ranging topics including the regional macroeconomic outlook and foreign investment.

Prof Chan will also deliver a keynote speech at a business seminar on November 26. He will meet government officials, key figures in the financial services sector and corporate leaders to brief them on the latest developments in Hong Kong's financial market.
