DesignSmart application goes online
*
Innovation & Technology Commission

Small and medium enterprises can now file Design-Business Collaboration Scheme applications online through the DesignSmart Initiative website, the Innovation & Technology Commission says.

The commission hopes to provide the industry more flexibility by allowing both design companies and SMEs to initiate applications, enabling more firms to actively adopt design as a value-adding tool.

The scheme promotes collaboration between design companies and SMEs to help upgrade the latter's products and services through design. Following a review in June, both the SME and the design firm are co-applicants and either one can make an application with the consent of the other party.
