Hong Kong ranks first among investors in Heilongjiang, investing in more than 2,800 projects in the province at the end of last year, Chief Executive Donald Tsang says.
Addressing the Hong Kong-Heilongjiang Business Co-operation Symposium today Mr Tsang said 17 enterprises from the province had invested in Hong Kong, with capital totalling more than US$22 million.
Noting Hong Kong is the best platform to help Heilongjiang enterprises enter the global market, he said Hong Kong enterprises can co-operate with their Heilongjiang counterparts to develop business ties in Russia.
After the symposium Mr Tsang met Heilongjiang Governor Li Zhanshu and exchanged views on further co-operation between the province and Hong Kong.
The delegation attended a luncheon before departing for Changchun in Jilin. Soon after arrival the delegation had a meeting with Jilin officials.
