Hotel closure to be investigated
*

Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Frederick Ma has pledged to investigate the closure of the Tatami Hampton Hotel in Mong Kok to ensure no similar incidents in future.

Mr Ma said communication in the case should have been better and the Tourism Commission has been working with the industry to help people affected by the closer.

The Ocean Park, Wetland Park, Disneyland and the Ngong Ping 360 will offer free transferable one-day passes valid for one year for the 44 visitors affected, while the Lan Kwai Fong Group restaurants will provide a free dinner for them. Mr Ma also asked the Tourism Board to work with the industry to provide them with three-days' accommodation.

He hoped the tourists will not be adversely affected by the incident and will view Hong Kong as a hospitable tourist haven.
