Appointments

*
Tribunal chief reappointed
*

Simon Mayo has been reappointed chairman of the Deposit Protection Appeals Tribunal for three years, the Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau says.

New appointee Mabel Lui and five serving members - Professor Charles Booth, Professor Simon Ho, Winnie Lun, Rupert Purser and James Wardell - will form the panel of people who may be appointed tribunal members.

The appointments gazetted today are made under the Deposit Protection Scheme Ordinance. The tribunal has been formed to review, at the request of depositors or member banks of the Deposit Protection Scheme, decisions or assessments made by the Deposit Protection Board or the Monetary Authority.
