David Wong appointed to SFC advisory body

Securities & Futures Commission

The Chairman of Dah Sing Financial Holdings Limited, David Wong, has been appointed to the Securities & Futures Commission's Advisory Committee to replace Peter Sullivan.

 

The appointment runs from February 1 to May 31, 2009.

 

Making the announcement today, the Government said that Mr Wong has rich experience in the financial services sector, and is devoted to promoting the sector's development.

 

The Government also paid tribute to Mr Sullivan, who has recently retired from the committee, for his active participation in the committee's work.

 

The committee was established to advise the commission on policy matters regarding its regulatory objectives and functions.

 

Other appointed committee members include Henry Chan, Chew Fook-aun, Douglas Eu, Fred Hu, Christophe Lee, Jack Maisano, Blair Pickerell, Ada Tse, Wong Kwai-lam, Thomas Wu and Yip Lai-shing.
