Sixty-nine companies have been honoured at the 2006 Hong Kong Awards for Industries Awards Presentation Ceremony. A total of 308 entries were received, covering a wide range of industrial and business sectors.
The Grand Award winners were:
* Manley Toys (Consumer Product Design);
* the Standard Chartered Bank (HK) (Customer Service);
* Fook Tin Technologies (Environmental Performance);
* California Red (Innovation & Creativity);
* WKK Technology (Productivity & Quality); and,
* Genetel Pharmaceuticals (Technological Achievement).
The award scheme, launched in 2005, recognises outstanding Hong Kong enterprises for their achievements, particularly in moving towards higher technology or higher value-added activities.
