Brian Ho, Keith Lui and Mark Steward have been appointed new Executive Directors of the Securities & Futures Commission.

Messrs Ho and Lui's term will be from August 28 to August 27, 2009, while Mr Steward's will be from September 25 until September 24, 2009.

Mr Ho has been working in the commission for more than 12 years. He is currently the commission's Senior Director (Corporate Finance) and has extensive regulatory experience and knowledge in the corporate finance field.

Mr Lui has been in the commission for more than 14 years. As the current Senior Director (Supervision of Markets) of the commission, he has detailed knowledge and experience in the supervision of the securities and futures markets.

Mr Steward is the Deputy Executive Director (Enforcement) of the Australian Securities & Investments Commission. He has 19 years experience in regulatory investigations and law enforcement.

Meanwhile, Mr Lui has also been appointed a member of the Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing's Risk Management Committee for one year, effective from August 28.
