Financial Services, Treasury adopts 5-day week

*

Seven departments under the Financial Services & the Treasury Bureau will move to a five-day week from July 1 with weekday work hours extended to cover Saturday services.

The affected departments - the Companies Registry, the Census & Statistics Department, Office of the Commissioner of Insurance, Official Receiver's Office, Rating & Valuation Department, Government Logistics Department and the Treasury - will also enhance e-services, phone hotlines and drop-in boxes.

The Companies Registry will keep its public services unchanged in the first phase of implementation. They include the receipt of documents and registration fees, incorporation and registration of local and overseas companies, documents registration and company searches.
