There were 810 bankruptcy petitions presented in April, down 20.3% from the March figure of 1,016, and down 2.2% compared with last year's average monthly figure of 828.
The Official Receiver's Office said during the month, the court made 618 bankruptcy orders, down 16% from the previous month's figure of 736, and a drop of 24.5% on the average monthly figure of 818 last year.
