Hongkong Post has introduced the Use More Get More Reward Programme to encourage people to use their e-Certs more often to earn gifts.

During the programme period from today to January 31, smart ID e-Cert holders and e-Cert (Personal) holders, can join the scheme to redeem shopping vouchers, dining coupons and lucky draw entries.

In addition to gift redemptions, free smartcard readers will also be given away to smart ID e-Cert holders, and to those who return a completed redemption form included in newspaper and magazine advertisements during the promotion period.

Postmaster General Allan Chiang said that with more than a million smart ID e-Cert holders registered, he is confident the programme will further boost public interest in using e-Certs for online transactions.

"The value of the programme is not just to induce more e-Cert holders to experience the convenience of using a multi-application e-Cert but also to promote the benefits e-Cert brings in terms of authenticity, confidentiality, data integrity and non-repudiation in e-commerce."
