Over 20 lease conditions simplified
*

Simplification of lease conditions is moving ahead with more than 20 special conditions to be deleted, simplified or streamlined, the Economic & Employment Council Subgroup on Business Facilitation says.

In its meeting today the subgroup said it has focused on expediting the process for forming food retail businesses in Housing Authority premises.

It was pleased to note the number of products to be regulated under the proposed Volatile Organic Compound legislation would be reduced significantly.

It has followed up on the proposed product responsibility schemes for waste tyres and rechargeable batteries which were discussed in October last year and noted that one tonne of rechargeable batteries had already been collected in the first two months of the launch of the pilot scheme.
