The Housing Authority intends to re-launch the Initial Public Offering of The Link Real Estate Investment Trust within the 2005/06 financial year, subject to market conditions.
The Housing Authority Supervisory Group on Divestment met today for the first time since the Court of Final Appeal's unanimous ruling on July 20 that reaffirmed the authority's power to sell its retail and car-parking facilities.
The group said the authority plans to re-launch the initial public offering as soon as practicable. Members were also briefed on preparatory work now underway.
Group chairman Walter Chan said it is too early to determine the exact re-launch timetable, adding the public would be informed when the picture becomes clearer.
