Investment pact: Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology John Tsang and Kuwait's Minister for Commerce & Industry Abdullah Abdelrahman Al-Taweel sign a Letter of Intent regarding an Investment Promotion & Protection Agreement at Government House.

The Hong Kong and Kuwaiti governments have signed a Letter of Intent pledging to negotiate and conclude an Investment Promotion & Protection Agreement in the spirit of co-operation and in their mutual interests.

 

The Letter of Intent underlines the strong investment ties between Hong Kong and Kuwait, and the two governments' determination to enhance the environment for greater investment by investors of one side in the area of the other.

 

Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa and Kuwait's visiting Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah watched Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology John Tsang and Kuwait's Minister for Commerce & Industry Abdullah Abdelrahman Al-Taweel sign the pact at Government House today.
