There were 1,069 bankrupcy petitions presented in June, up 2% from the May figure of 1,048, but a drop of 42% when compared with the last year's average monthly figure of 1,841, the Official Receiver's Office announced today.
During the month, the court made 1,260 bankrupcy orders, an increase of 21% from the previous month's figure of 1,042, but a drop of 39% over the average monthly figure of 2,077 last year.
