John Tsang to boost HK-Fujian ties
*

Newly appointed Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology John Tsang will lead a delegation to Fujian Province from August 21 to 25 to foster business ties.

The delegation comprises representatives from major Hong Kong chambers of commerce and trade organisations.

During his stay, Mr Tsang will meet senior Fujian officials and trade association representatives. He will give three addresses, one on Fujian-Hong Kong business and trade relations on August 22, the other two on business support services and Hong Kong's investment environment on August 25. Later that day he will attend the Fujian-Hong Kong Week opening ceremony.

The delegation will also visit Quanzhou and Xiamen on August 23 and 24, to see trade and industry development there and meet officials.

Fujian-Hong Kong Week is jointly organised by the governments of the two jurisdictions. Business seminars, forums and visits will be held during the promotion to facilitate exchange.
