Work-safety project volunteers wanted
*
Labour Department

The Labour Department is inviting volunteers to register for its Customer Service Teams Project to enhance occupational safety and health awareness among employers and employees.

The department aims to recruit about 250 volunteers, to visit more than 15,000 establishments in the next four months. Catering establishments, wholesale, retail, and small and medium-sized enterprises are the targets this year.

During the visits, project members will conduct surveys to assess the basic work safety and health knowledge of those in charge and distribute relevant publicity materials.

Those aged 17 or above with at least secondary-school level education can join. They will attend a one-day training course to learn about the project details, basic safety knowledge and communication skills. The volunteers will be awarded certificates when the project ends.

For enquiries, call 2852 3565 or 2234 0100.
