Primary 1 allocation results released June 5

*

Results of the central allocation for entering primary one in September will be released June 5.

A total of 20,848 children took part in the central allocation. About 80% have been allocated to schools of their first three choices. When taking into account the discretionary places as well, the overall satisfaction rate is 90%, the Education Bureau said today.

Parents should go to the Central Allocation Centre of their home school net on June 5 or June 6 from 9.30am to 12.30pm or 1.30pm to 4.30pm to collect the primary one registration form which will show the name and address of the school to which their children have been allocated, together with the dates for registration and some notes for parents.

They should bring along their copy of the application form for admission to primary one or the choice of schools form for identification purposes.

Parents are requested to complete registration on June 8 or June 9. If they cannot do so, they should contact the school beforehand to make alternative arrangements, or they will forfeit the place.

Should parents decide to give up the place allocated because of, for example, having moved to another school net far from the school allocated, they need not register. They are advised to seek assistance from the School Places Allocation Section, 2/F Lui Kee Education Services Centre, 269 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai.

They should bring along the primary one registration form, the original and copies of documents showing proof of the new address.

For general information about the allocation system call 2891 0088. Further enquiries can be made to the School Places Allocation Section at 2832 7610 (Hong Kong Island), 2832 7620 (Kowloon), 2832 7635 (New Territories West and Islands), 2832 7659 (New Territories East and Tsuen Wan) and 2832 7700 or 2832 7740 (for general enquiries) during office hours as well as from 9am to 4.30pm on June 5 and 6.
