Education council nominations to close
*

Schools and organisations which want to nominate candidates for the 9th election of the Council on Professional Conduct in Education should send nominations to the Education Bureau before noon, March 1.

Each school can nominate one serving regular registered teacher, including the school head, to stand for election. Teachers can also run for election as independent candidates if they have the support of 60 serving teachers.

Education organisations already approved to join the Hong Kong Teachers' Centre as an organisation-member can also make nominations.

The council has 28 seats in three categories - the organisation-nominated category (11 seats), the teacher-nominated category (14 seats) and members appointed by the Permanent Secretary for Education (three seats).

Elected candidates will serve two years from May. For enquiries call 2780 8432, send an email, or write to Room 702, 7/F Kowloon Government Offices, 405 Nathan Road, Kowloon.
