Education fund committee member named

Tee Choon-hong has been appointed a member of the Quality Education Fund Investment Committee for two years from March 11.

 

The Education Bureau today said Mr Tee is the Managing Director and Regional Head of Capital Markets, North-East Asia & Korea of Standard Chartered Bank (HK). 

 

The fund was established in early 1998 with capital of $5 billion to fund community initiatives which promote quality education in Hong Kong. The committee was set up to formulate policies for and to monitor the investment of the fund.

 

Since its establishment, the fund has supported 7,700 projects with a total grant of $3.7 billion.
