The Labour Department is inviting volunteers to register for its Customer Service Teams Project to enhance occupational safety and health awareness among employers and employees.
The department aims to recruit about 250 volunteers to visit more than 15,000 establishments in the next four months. Catering establishments and wholesale and retail small and medium-sized enterprises are the targets this year.
During the visits, project members will conduct a questionnaire survey to assess the basic work safety and health knowledge of those in charge and distribute relevant publicity materials.
Those aged 17 or above with at least secondary-school level can join. They will attend a one-day training course to learn about the project details, basic safety knowledge and communication skills. The volunteers will be presented certificates when the project ends.
