*
Labour Department

The Labour Department will stage a job fair at Sha Tin Town Hall on November 30, offering more than 2,800 vacancies for job seekers.

A total of 21 firms, mainly from the retail, catering, and property-management industries, will set up counters for on-the-spot recruitment. The vacancies cover a variety of positions such as shop supervisor, officer trainee, sales, waiter/waitress, kitchen assistant, shop assistant, security guard and technicians. For details, click here.

About 95% of the vacancies are full-time jobs, and a majority of them are jobs with a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. More than 90% of the jobs require Form 5 educational level or below. About 70% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience.

The job fair will be held from 11am to 6pm. Admission is free. Job seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews. On-the-spot registration will also be conducted.
