Job fair offers 700 vacancies

Labour Department

The Labour Department will stage a job fair at Kwai Tsing Theatre on August 4, providing more than 700 vacancies.

 

Thirteen companies from the retail and catering industries, property management, telecommunications and business services will participate in the event.

 

The vacancies offered include shop supervisor, senior salesperson, salesperson, sales trainee, sales assistant, customer service officer, customer liaison officer, officer trainee, assistant cook, waiter, cashier, cleaner, motorbike courier, delivery driver, security officer, security guard, telecom sales officer, survey assistant, clerk, testing technician and laboratory assistant.

 

Most of the vacancies have a monthly salary ranging from $6,000 to $9,000. Eighty-five per cent of them require Form 5 educational level or below and more than 60% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience. Job seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews.

 

The job fair will run from 11am to 6pm at Exhibition Gallery, 1/F, Kwai Tsing Theatre. Admission is free.
