Public service: Chinese Academy of Governance Executive Vice-President Wei Liqun and Secretary for the Civil Service Denise Yue sign the memorandum of co-operation to strengthen collaboration in training civil servants.

*

Secretary for the Civil Service Denise Yue today signed a memorandum of co-operation with Chinese Academy of Governance Executive Vice-President Wei Liqun. The memorandum further strengthens collaboration in training Hong Kong civil servants.

Since 1999 the Civil Service Bureau has commissioned the academy, formerly known as the National School of Administration, to organise the Advanced National Studies Programme in Beijing.

The programme deepens participants' understanding of current policies and topical issues on the Mainland and enhances networking between participants and Mainland officials. Eighteen classes have been organised for 350 directorate civil servants.
