No voting preference talk with LegCo president
*

Chief Executive Donald Tsang has never been in contact or discussion with the Legislative Council president Jasper Tsang regarding his voting preference for constitutional reform proposals, the Chief Executive's Office says.

The office today issued a statement responding to media reports quoting some lawmakers as saying that in a meeting between the LegCo president and some members yesterday, the president had mentioned that the Chief Executive had discussed with him his voting preference for the constitutional reform proposals.

Since Mr Jasper Tsang assumed the post of LegCo president, the Chief Executive has had high regard for his special status and has not discussed with him any government policies, including the issue of constitutional development.

"The hearsay is groundless, which we deeply regret," the office added.
