Infrastructure consultation forum to be held
*

A forum will be held tomorrow to explore the way forward for enhancing public participation in the planning of transport infrastructure initiatives.

 

The Transport & Housing Bureau said it wants to listen to people's views on public engagement to refine the consultation mechanism.

 

The forum will be webcast live. People can watch the live broadcast on the Internet while expressing their views on the discussion topic via an Internet platform.

 

Honourable guests

Apart from Secretary for Transport & Housing Eva Cheng, and Under Secretary Yau Shing-mu, the forum will be attended by guest speakers from various sectors.

 

They include Chair Professor of the Department of Social Work & Social Administration of the University of Hong Kong Nelson Chow; Professor of Journalism & Communication of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Joseph Chan; Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong Director Lilian Law, young engineer Tse Kwok-chau and Acting Chief Campaigner of Roundtable Pioneer Danny Tsui. Radio Television Hong Kong personality Leung Ka-wing will be the guest host.

To view the live webcast click here at 10am tomorrow. A Facebook account, set up especially for the forum, will be activated from 9am to noon for people to post their comments.
