RTHK consultation report compiled
*

The Commerce & Economic Development Bureau received 150 views on the future of Radio Television Hong Kong in a public consultation which ended last month.

After attending RTHK's Lunar New Year celebration today, Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Rita Lau told reporters the consultation report is being compiled.

"We would like to take the first opportunity of sharing the content of the charter with colleagues of RTHK. Following all these steps, subject to any fine-tuning that might be necessary after our briefing to and consultation with staff, we aim to finalise the document for full implementation as soon as possible thereafter," she said.

The bureau will also submit the report to the Legislative Council's Panel on Information Technology & Broadcasting.

On the appointment of the advisory board, Mrs Lau reiterated the members and chairman will be appointed by the Chief Executive and announcements will be made in due course.
