CE congratulates new Macau chief
*

Chief Executive Donald Tsang has congratulated Chui Sai-on on his election as the third-term Macau Chief Executive.

In his congratulatory message today Mr Tsang said Mr Chui has rightly earned his place as the enclave's Chief Executive (Elect) as he is totally committed to serving Macau's people with his devotion, resolution and experience in public service.

Hong Kong and Macau have long-standing close economic and social ties. Early this year the Central Government formulated a Pearl River Delta Region development strategy, setting a clear direction and creating favourable conditions for the joint transformation of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau into one of the most competitive economic zones in the world.

"I sincerely look forward to building with you a closer co-operative relationship to enhance development in the two SARs, as well as the whole Pearl River Delta Region, for the prosperity and well being of our citizens," Mr Tsang said.
