Leung Wing-hung - with 2,820 votes - has been elected to the Sha Tin District Council in yesterday's Tai Wai constituency by-election, the Registration & Electoral Office says.

 

The other four candidates were Yuen Kwai-choi (2,301 votes), Lee York-fai (790 votes), Chan Wai-man (19 votes) and Chau Chi-pong (13 votes).

 

Of the 12,164 registered electors, 5,963 cast their ballots in the by-election, a 49% turnout.
