Prisoner voting rights forums to be held
*

Two public forums will be held at the Heritage Museum in Sha Tin March 6 and the Central Library in Causeway Bay March 11 to collect views on prisoners' voting rights.

Simultaneous interpretation in English will be available for the two Cantonese forums, which will be held 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

People interested can register through the Home Affairs Department hotline 2893 9027 during office hours until the day before the respective forums. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Consultation Document on Prisoners' Voting Right has been published seeking public views on the policy options for relaxing the ban on prisoners' voting rights and the practical arrangements for prisoners and remanded unconvicted people to vote. The consultation will end March 23.
