Another $11m in quake aid approved
*

Two Disaster Relief Fund grants totalling $11 million for Mainland earthquake victims have been approved, bringing the total value of grants for these victims to $311 million.

About $7.5 million will go to the Red Cross and $3.5 million to the Amity Foundation for their relief projects in Sichuan.

The grants add to the recent $300-million disbursement for the Central Government to provide emergency relief.

To ensure the money is used correctly the agencies will submit evaluation reports and audited accounts once the relief project is complete.
