$1.29m in snowstorm aid approved
*

A grant of $1.29 million from the Disaster Relief Fund has been approved for the Amity Foundation to help snowstorm victims in Guangxi and Yunnan provinces.

It takes the total value of grants for Mainland snowstorm victims to $238.72 million. About $237.43 million was disbursed earlier, to three provincial and municipal governments, and six organisations to help snowstorm victims in eight provinces and municipalities.

The Amity Foundation must submit an evaluation report and audited accounts to ensure the money is used properly.
