The World Exposition 2010 Shanghai China will allow Hong Kong to showcase its attractions, quality of life and creative industries, Chief Secretary for Administration Henry Tang says.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony for the winners of the World Exposition 2010 Shanghai China - Hong Kong Pavilion Concept Design Competition today, Mr Tang said Hong Kong's pavilion will highlight the city's unlimited potential and creativity.

Eighty entries were received and the winner was entitled Pavilion of Infinity. The winning concept will be adopted as the blueprint for the detailed design and development of the pavilion.

The expo will run May 1 to October 31, 2010, and will be another major international event hosted by China after the Beijing Olympics. The Hong Kong Pavilion will be an integral part of the China Pavilion at the expo.
