The Office of Former Chief Executives at 28 Kennedy Road, Central, will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
Since last April, the former Chief Executive has been able to use the office to host official functions and receive dignitaries. It is a Grade III historic building built around 1905 and had been used as the campus of Queen's College, Clementi Secondary School and Kennedy Road Junior School.
It was also the Sino-British Joint Liaison Group's meeting venue and leased by the Hong Kong Design Centre. Click here to view a video on the building's history and architectural features.
Visitors are urged to make full use of public transport. For details, click here. Wheelchair users, however, cannot be served on the open day owing to the premises' design, the presence of staircases and absence of an elevator.
Due to the confined space of the building and the loading limit, visits will be arranged in groups. The Police may announce a cut-off time for queuing outside the building to ensure those lining up can be admitted in time.
